August 12, 2023: Benchmark Solutions was honored and proud to co-host a very successful charitable wine tasting event for Care Camps on Saturday August 12, 2023, at the Coleville Walker KOA/Meadowcliff Lodge (https://meadowcliff.com/). This event featured wines graciously donated by Pence Vineyards & Winery [Pence Estate Pinot Noir], Goodmills Family Winery [Lodi Chardonnay, Lodi Sauvignon Blanc, Lodi Pinot Noir, Lodi Rose of Cabernet Sauvignon Blac, Lodi Cabernet Sauvignon, and Lodi Syrah], Joseph Phelps Vineyards [a Magnum of 2022 Insignia which was sold at auction], and a special donation made directly by Benchmark Solutions [Peju Sauvignon Blanc, Peju Dry Rose, Peju Carnaval, and Peju Province].
The funds raised through this event went directly to the The Care Camps Trust (KOA Care Camps Trust | Helping Kids With Cancer | KOA) which is a KOA sponsored program for children with advanced cancer diagnoses wherein kids are provided with a camping experience for the purpose of enjoying a care-free time focused on fun, friends and activities instead of on their illness. Funds raised went toward covering costs for campers such as medications, medical equipment, utilities, insurance, and transportation, plus basic camping costs such as meals and recreation equipment.
The Care Camps Trust provides financial support to 125+ special nonprofit camps located throughout the United States and Canada. These facilities are fully equipped with the necessary medical supplies and volunteer professional staff to care for campers’ cancer-related needs.
